Virat Kohli,

India’s talismanic batsman, has hit another legendary milestone by scoring 1000 fours in Test cricket. Kohli, who had already done so in one-day internationals, surpassed the four-digit mark in the longest format when India defeated Bangladesh in the second Test in Kanpur. Virat,

who has 1302 fours in ODI cricket, scored 1001 fours in Test cricket on Day 5 of the second Test against Bangladesh at the Green Park Stadium on Tuesday.

Kohli joined Sachin Tendulkar, Kumar Sangakkara, Ricky Ponting, and others on the list of batsmen who have scored over 1000 fours in ODIs and Tests. However, Virat is the only active batter to have done so.
