All-rounder Glenn Maxwell believes that Australia’s ability to overcome the formidable Indian spin combo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja will determine their fate in the forthcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India is aiming for their third straight series win in the Antipodean country, having carved off historic victories in the 2018–19 and 2020–21 tours.
In actuality, India is still the only Asian country to triumph over Australia in a Test series at home. According to Maxwell, Ashwin and Jadeja frequently control how the game is played.

Maxwell, who last played in a Test match in 2017, is no longer part of Australia’s cricket team, and he stated that the team must neutralize the experienced Indian spinners.

“Those two guys, who are similar in age, have been there for the majority of my career,” he continued.
Jasprit Bumrah, the pace leader, received high accolades from Maxwell as well for his growth as an all-format bowler.
The Victorian referred to Bumrah as the greatest in business right now.
He said, “It’s a pretty amazing story to see him go from a young, untapped talent to what he is now—the probably best bowler across all three formats.”
