In his first public remark, young all-rounder Musheer Khan, who survived a vehicle accident on his way to join the Mumbai team for the Irani Cup, thanked everyone who prayed for him to recover.
Musheer, a right-handed batter who can also bowl left-arm spin, was traveling from his village of Azamgarh to Lucknow for the Irani Cup match against Rest of India that starts on October 1 when he was involved in a horrific car accident that resulted in a fracture to his neck.
His father Naushad Khan was driving when their car struck the divider and repeatedly flipped. Musheer’s neck fracture will prevent him from playing for several months, hence he won’t be available for Mumbai in the Irani Cup and
I want to thank Allah first and foremost for this new life. I’m all right now. My dad was with me, and he’s doing well now, too. In a video posted to his Instagram account, Musheer was seen standing with a bandage around his neck. “I would like to thank you all for your prayers,” he stated.
After being released from the Medanta hospital in Lucknow and returning home by air, Musheer, the younger brother of Test batsman Sarfaraz Khan, is anticipated to be brought to a hospital in Mumbai for a thorough evaluation.

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), which is fielding an Irani Cup team captained by seasoned Test batsman Ajinkya Rahane, has not yet announced a replacement for Musheer, the top run scorer for India in this year’s U19 World Cup.Accident
