Indian captain Rohit Sharma talked about how long he had played the game and why he decided to give up the Twenty20 International format after his side won the ICC T20 World Cup. The ‘Hitman’ gave a speech on Jitendra Chouksey’s YouTube channel on Saturday. Speaking on the channel, Rohit stated that hardly many players have played 500 international cricket matches for India, something he is close to doing. and a person’s life fitness regimen plays a major part in their ability to live so long.

There must be something about your regimen that allows you to have such longevity. How you train yourself, how you maintain your physical health, and how you handle your mental health. Most importantly, how do you prepare for the game? Our ultimate goal is to win games by performing well and being well prepared for the game. If you reverse that process, fitness results from that preparation, Rohit added.

After winning the T20 World Cup in June, Rohit disclosed that he had decided to step away from Twenty20 international cricket because he believed it was the appropriate moment given that he was holding a trophy and that new players were starting to emerge for India.

“I just gave up on T20Is because I felt like I had had enough. Playing the format was fun for me. I was a good player for seventeen years. This was the ideal moment for me to determine that it was time to move on and take care of the other things after winning the World Cup. There are plenty talented players there who can succeed for India. It was just the ideal timing, in my opinion,” Rohit added.

Rohit, who won the T20 World Cup in 2007 as a young, promising prodigy, retired as a double champion. Rohit has amassed 4,231 runs at an average of 32.05 and a strike rate of above 140 in 151 Twenty20 International appearances. During his career, he amassed five hundreds and thirty-two fifties, with a career-best score of 121*. In the format, Rohit leads all run scorers.

He finished the championship with three half-centuries and his best score of 92, making him the second-highest run scorer.

When Rohit looked back on his cricket career, he noted that he began playing withwhen he was nine years old, children in his community, and finally began playing

We played in the society and in our building. There’s not enough room in Bombay.even some of my school pals. Making friends is what I did for fun with those people. I had no idea it would turn out this way. I began when I was nine years old. It’s been 28 or 29 years since I started playing cricket,” he continued.

The captain acknowledged that the demands of the game occasionally interfered with his academic pursuits. He thought back on how his hardships, physical and emotional exhaustion, and lengthy travel days had all contributed to his current status as a celebrity.

There are numerous requirements for this activity, including travel, skill acquisition, fitness, and training. If you want to play cricket in Mumbai, you have to travel there: two hours by train, five to six hours of practise, and then you have to journey back, without knowing if you’ll get a seat. It did wear me out, both mentally and physically. However, I relished that, and the hard yards helped me become resilient; that is what made me who I am today and helps me make difficult decisions these days,” the Indian captain remarked.

According to Rohit, being fit for a cricket player is more about what he can do on the field for his team than it is about how physically attractive he is.

“In five days, could you give the team your all?

During the current two-match Test series against Bangladesh, the Indian captain is in action. India is up 1-0 in the series. Green Park Stadium in Kanpur is the venue for the second Test.
