IRVINE — For the Portola and St Nick Margarita young ladies tennis crews, arriving at the CIF-SS Open Division elimination rounds was a first for the two schools.

The Bulldogs, the No. 2 seed in the Open Division, crushed the No. 3 seed Falcons, 10-8, Wednesday at Portola High, and presently advance to a much higher level – a compartment in CIF-SS finals.
